Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary solemnly held in Dak Lak

An event to commemorate the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary (Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương) was solemnly held at Lac Giao Communal House – a historical relic of Dak Lak province, on April 10^th (the 10^th day of the third lunar month) by the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot city.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of CPV Party Central Committee and Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Y Bier Nie - Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Y Vinh Tor - Alternate Member of CPV Central Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council and Head of National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak Province; other representative leaders of departments, agencies; and many people in the province.

The event was solemnly held with the performance of Ede gongS, the opening of drums, worship rituals, achievement reports and review of heroic history of the Hung Kings during the country’s founding, the struggle for national independence and reunification.

Addressing the event, Ms. H’Yim Kdoh – Vice Chairwoman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee reported to the Hung Kings on the achievements gained by Dak Lak in 2021. Accordingly, the Party Committees, authorities and people of 49 ethnic groups in the province made efforts to implement “dual goals” and achieved positive results despite many COVID-19 pandemic-related difficulties and challenges.

In detail, the total realised social investment capital reached VND42,027 billion, equalling 141.03% of the plan; total retail sales of consumer goods and services gained VND85,873 billion, increasing by 2.84% compared to 2020; the State budget collection achieved VND 8,150 billion, estimating at 151.78 % of the assigned plan. Meanwhile, the poverty rate in the province decreased by 1.75%.

The provincial leaders offer incense to pay tribute to the Hung Kings.

Moreover, Dak Lak province focused on building the Party and the political system, renovating and rearranging the apparatus, streamlining the staff, building a contingent of cadres and civil servants with both political loyalty and professional competence. Besides, the all-people national defence in connection with the people’s security posture received attention to maintain stability. On the other hand, the Vice Chairwoman frankly acknowledged the province’s limitations and challenges. She affirmed that the Party Committee, authorities and people of Dak Lak province will promote the achieved results and unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges. The province determines to emulate and carry out the planned tasks successfully, said Ms. H’Yim Kdoh.
